Our Work
Alliance to Save Energy needed a way to continue the success of their Drive Smarter Challenge campaign and engage new audiences online around energy-efficient driving. See3 helped Alliance to Save Energy develop a three-month online video contest encouraging people from all over the country to create 2-minute videos illustrating one or more Drive Smarter Challenge tips. Our engagement involved contest strategy, website development, video production, contest management, and blogger outreach.
Our Impact
The Drive Smarter Challenge Video Contest received 65 original videos from all across the country. Thousands of votes were cast for the 10 finalists, adding up to over 17,000 minutes of video consumed–equal to 283 hours! The campaign was featured on over 40 websites and blogs, and the contest increased traffic to the Drive Smarter Challenge website by 51% as compared to the year previous. In the end, Alliance to Save Energy came away from the contest with new online audiences and high-quality, user-generated creative that they could use in communications in 2010.
